And you thought it was gonna be easy...
And you thought it was gonna be easy.
To keep your heart, I mean. To keep it hidden.
But there are always two snakes eating at the world.
They both have dark designs and clear intentions.
But you never know which one.
You hear them trudge along your walls. Cause they don't know they are just lines drawn on the floor with your own blood, made of red fear.
At any moment, they'll realize, and then your heart will be stripped bare. It will be naked to the beauty and all the pain. To all the sorrow and the joy, and all the things you came here for.
Who would have thought... As it turns out, it is quite easy in the end.
I first painted snakes for the Cyclus collection. As I have been venturing into the world of Technicolor, I sometimes wondered how the Slithering Ones would look through this new colourful lens. As you almost certainly know by now, I am also constantly prodding and noodling around ideas of balance and light and dark.
And I have been thinking a lot lately about how straight paths seldom work or even exist in life. There's always a twist or twenty; what we think we want is almost never what we need, and how we get it is almost always a surprise.
All this came together and conspired to rearrange a shitton of pixels and seriously inconvenience a large bunch of electrons. The result was this new piece. I hope you like it.

Now, for the technical details...
As usual, these prints are lovingly crafted by me, printed on 320 gsm, cotton archival paper (that’s just a fancy way to say the paper is really awesome and warm and thick, with a lovely, velvety texture and creamy colour), using archival inks (this means this thing won’t fade in a hundred years. I’m serious. Treat it with a bit of care, and it will last a lifetime), using The Black Beast, my trusty 250 pounds beast of a Canon Printer.
tl;dr: the prints are really, really pretty, and the quality is top-notch. Just look at the pictures if you don’t believe me. And if you’ve bought a print from me before, you know what to expect.
